Boemer Earns 2011 Rimington Award
Southern Illinois center Bryan Boemer has been awarded the 2011 Rimington Award, given to the top center in the FCS. Boemer is the first Saluki to be honored with the Rimington Award.

2011 College Sports Journal All-America Team
PHILADELPHIA, PA. — Nine Missouri Valley Football Conference players are among the top honorees as College Sports Journal announced its first Football Championship Subdivision All-America team on Thursday.

2011 College Sports Journal All-Freshman Team
Two Missouri Valley Football Conference teams had two players selected (Illinois State and Missouri State). All 14 FCS conferences managed to earn representation on the squad, led by the Missouri Valley Football Conference and Southern Conference with seven players each.

FCS Football Network Announces All-America Team
The FCS Football network announced the 2011 season ALL-FCS Football Network Team on Thursday. Six players from the MVFC are represented.

Seven in MVFC Named to CSN's Fabulous Fifty
College Sporting News has named UNI LB L.J. Fort its FCS National Defensive Player of the Year and North Dakota State OL Paul Cornick it's Offensive Lineman of the Year. Those two highlight a list of seven MVFC players on the Fabulous Fifty FCS All-America Team, announced Tuesday.

Bison Ranked No. 1 in Final Polls
The North Dakota State Bison finished the 2011 football season as the No.1 team in the Football Championship Subdivision Coaches Poll after their 17-6 win over Sam Houston State in the National Championship game.

QB Brock Jensen threw a touchdown pass right after a fake punt, then had a 1-yard keeper for another score after a long interception return and No. 2 seed North Dakota State beat top-seeded Sam Houston State 17-6 in their first FCS championship game Saturday.

Shakir Bell Takes Second in Walter Payton Award Voting
Indiana State sophomore tailback Shakir Bell finished tied for second in the Walter Payton Award voting as announced at the FCS Awards Banquet presented by The Sports Network and Fathead.com at the Frisco Convention Center on the eve on the NCAA FCS Championship Game.
